Kaoss Pad

So if anyone has ever heard of the Korg Kaoss Pad, I think it would be really easy to turn it into an app. It’s a touchpad midi controller, so the iPhone screen would be vaguely similar…in the sense that it’s a touchpad…

anyway, somebody let me know if this could work, or why it can’t.

let me try to explain a little better than i did on your page. it's an effects engine that works on line in input, i know there are other music apps that take songs on your iphone and allow them to behave as input (at least i think that's what they're doing, i'm rather technically ignorant in this department).

the MIDI controller part is an x and y axis as you can probably see in the image. you slide your finger around, it does some crazy shit (that's the technical explanation anyway).

This would be a lot of fun. Perhaps the app would be able to record and save the sounds too. If you could convert the sounds to mp3 and somehow export it, this would be awesome.

hell ya! this would be so sweet if it could export an mp3. i imagine that you'd also be able to use the aux output to hook up to your sound system... pretty interesting.

Noice.io has Kaos Pad like matrix where you can change filters, pitch and effects on a running musical loop. It has som pre defined musical loop to work with or you can compose your own.
